Seventh grade Carver Lion, Lainey D’Agostin is becoming a local and state star on the soccer field. A goalkeeper for the Dothan Shockers, she was scouted by the coach of a travel team out of Pensacola, the Gulf Coast Texans. She was also recently recommended by the Director of Coaching for the Shockers for the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP). The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program identifies players in each age group from each state, where a National Team will be selected for regional, national and international competition. This is a tremendous honor as she will be coached/trained by high school and college coaches and will be highly exposed to colleges for potential scholarship opportunities. With the opportunity, Lainey will get to represent the state of Alabama and potentially the United States as a member of the soccer team. Congratulations, Lainey! Carver is very proud of you!
